The University of New Orleans is a major research university located in one of the world’s most exciting cities. Since 1958, the University of New Orleans has educated students from all 64 Louisiana parishes, all 50 states in the United States and more than 140 countries. Today, the University of New Orleans offers more than 40 undergraduate and pre-professional programs and more than 40 graduate programs. Student-athletes compete in 12 men’s and women’s NCAA Division I sports as members of the Southland Conference. The University is located in a residential neighborhood along the shores of Lake Pontchartrain, just 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans and the world famous French Quarter. Located on campus, the UNO Lakefront Arena is one of top venues of its size in the region.
