The Political Science program, offered both in-person and through Nicholls Online, is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the essential aspects of politics. We offer courses in all subfields of the discipline: American government, political theory, comparative politics, and international relations. We give students the analytical and critical tools necessary to evaluate political events and more importantly, to become actively engaged citizens. Online courses are offered in eight-week sessions at an accelerated pace, and with the same professors as students who take on-campus courses. 

What can I do with this degree?

A Political Science degree opens numerous career paths.  Our graduates often attend law school after graduation, but we have also placed students in law enforcement, journalism, graduate school, the military, business, education, and government.
