Nursing, R.N. to B.S.N.

It has been noted that by 2026 the U.S. could realize a 15% increase in job growth in this field. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). Further, this program is in high demand due to its unique curriculum which allows a RN to complete a 100% online program, in 1 year, and has flexible options. RN to BSN programs are necessary for career trajectory, where most two-year RNs have to obtain a BSN for upward career advancement. Many hospitals, as part of their mission and purpose, are planning to obtain ‘magnet’ status, which means they are recognized for excellence in nursing care. This alone means that hospitals with magnet status will need to attract the most qualified nurses such as those with BSN or higher education (Johns Hopkins, 2015).
