The Associate of General Studies degree, offered in-person and 100% online, has been designed to prepare students for entry into one of the many baccalaureate degree programs offered by the university. The Associate of General Studies degree is premised on the importance of general education as a foundation for academic achievement at the baccalaureate level and for future professional advancement. Further, this degree meets the needs of students who have yet to decide upon a major and those students who may not be able to commit to a four-year program because of financial or personal challenges. The program offers an avenue for students to complete their general education courses while exploring four-year programs and their associated career possibilities. Online courses are offered in eight-week sessions at an accelerated pace, and with the same professors as students who take on-campus courses.
General Studies students become well-rounded graduates through coursework in the core courses that are part of every bachelor’s degree program. An associate degree will further your education, enhance job prospects, and provide a sense of accomplishment.
