FCS offers a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Early Literacy with two concentration options, a general concentration and a teacher certification concentration. The general concentration is available 100% online and will certify you to work in a variety of child- and family-centered careers. The teacher certification concentration is in-person and will prepare you to earn licensure as a child care worker or a pre-kindergarten teacher. Both degree programs are designed to equip you as an early childhood specialist and feature coursework on such topics as child care center organization, instructional technology, health and wellness, and much more so that you can foster optimal growth and advancement for children from birth to eight years of age.
