The Associate of General Studies program offers students the opportunity to explore their interests while simultaneously preparing them for a wide variety of careers. The General Studies program is valuable because it helps develop students’ skills in communication, reading comprehension, and critical thinking, and helps them gain a broader base of knowledge in a number of interesting subjects. The Associate of General Studies often provides the stepping stone that new adult, online students need prior to earning the bachelor’s degree. It is a stackable credential that allows students to complete the associate degree then continue on to pursue the bachelor’s degree.
